Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 3 October 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Retro Sport ("the App"), a mobile app that re-stages real football and tennis matches as a retro 3D simulation, handles information. It applies to the App on Google Play (version 1.1 and later), to its store listing and to the web page of the App's server.

1. Who We Are

The App is published by Swiss Block Services Sàrl, Route de Meyrin 267, 1217 Meyrin, Switzerland (UID CHE-207.982.263), which is responsible for the processing described here. You can reach us through the contact form at swissblockservices.ch/en/#contact, or through the contact details of the developer on our Google Play listing.

2. What We Collect

The App has no account and no sign-in. We do not ask for, collect or store your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or location, and our server keeps no identifier of your device.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

If you are not a Supporter, the App shows a banner ad and offers an optional rewarded ad (watch an ad to unlock replays of finished matches for two hours). Ads are served by Google AdMob. To serve, measure and, where you allow it, personalise ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from it, device information, diagnostic information and your interactions with ads. Google may also use the advertising features built into Android (Privacy Sandbox), which you can control in your Android settings. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

To compare what ads earn with what subscriptions earn, the App also reports ad events (ad loaded, shown, clicked, failed to load, the screen it appeared on and the revenue Google estimates for it) to RevenueCat, under the same anonymous identifier described in section 4.

4. Subscriptions (Google Play and RevenueCat)

The optional "Supporter" subscription is sold through Google Play. Payments are handled entirely by Google; we never see your payment details. To know whether you are a Supporter, the App contacts RevenueCat each time it starts, whether or not you subscribe. RevenueCat receives a random identifier generated by the App (not your name or email), your purchase history if any, your device type, operating system, App version, store country and IP address. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

5. Alerts for Favourites (OneSignal)

Alerts are optional and off until you turn them on: the App asks the first time you add a favourite. On Android 13 and later it then asks for the notification permission, and nothing is sent to OneSignal unless you agree and allow notifications. Alerts tell you when a favourite team or player's match is about to start, has started, when a goal is scored or a set is won, and the result.

Alerts are sent by OneSignal, which receives your device's push token, a random identifier, your device model, operating system, language, time zone and IP address, when you use the App (sessions), whether you open an alert, and one tag for each of your active favourites (for example the team's identifier), so that an alert about a match reaches the people who follow it. We do not keep a list of who follows whom. While alerts are on, the App also tells the OneSignal SDK when you have watched a match, as part of the alert service; OneSignal records whether its messages were shown or tapped. We use OneSignal only for these alerts and send no marketing or promotional messages. The alerts themselves are delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google's push service, which issues the push token; we do not use Firebase for anything else (no Firebase Analytics). See the OneSignal Privacy Policy.

You can turn alerts off at any time in the App (gear icon, then Alerts for favourites): the App removes your favourites' tags from OneSignal, unsubscribes the device and then stops the OneSignal SDK from sending anything more. OneSignal may keep the device record it already holds (push token, identifier, device information) under its own retention rules (see section 15 for requests). You can also block notifications in your Android settings.

6. App Updates (Expo)

Each time it starts, the App asks Expo (EAS Update, operated by 650 Industries, Inc.) whether a newer version of its code is available, and downloads it if so. This request carries your IP address, your platform, the App's version and current update, and a random installation identifier generated by the update library. If the App failed to start after an update, the error message is included so that the faulty update can be rolled back. See the Expo Privacy Policy. The App also asks our own server which version is on Google Play, so that it can tell you when to update; this request carries nothing about you.

7. Legal Bases

Where the GDPR (or the UK GDPR) applies, we rely on:

Under the Swiss FADP, the same purposes apply, and we process data in line with its principles.

8. Who Receives Data and Where

We do not sell your data. Apart from our own server, run at our hosting provider, data is received by: Google (AdMob, its consent form, Google Play and Firebase Cloud Messaging), RevenueCat, Inc., OneSignal, Inc. and 650 Industries, Inc. (Expo). These companies are based in the United States and may process data there or in other countries. Where data leaves Switzerland, the EEA or the UK, it is protected by an adequacy decision (including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, its UK Extension and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for certified recipients) or by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and recognised by the Swiss FDPIC.

9. Your Privacy Choices

10. Notice for United States Residents

This section applies to residents of US states with consumer privacy laws, including California (CCPA as amended by the CPRA), Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon and the other states whose comprehensive privacy laws are in force.

11. Match Data

Scores, statistics and match events come from licensed sports data providers. Nothing about you is sent to them. The simulation is a reconstruction and does not show real footage, players' images, club crests or official logos.

12. Retention

13. Security

The App talks to our server and to the services above over encrypted (HTTPS) connections only. Our server has no user accounts and stores no data about you that could be exposed.

14. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 18, or use it for targeted advertising.

15. Your Rights in Switzerland, the EU and the UK

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/nLPD), the GDPR and the UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what was done before. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

How requests are handled. The App has no account, and nothing we hold is linked to a person, so we cannot identify you from our own data (Art. 11 GDPR). We can therefore act on a request about your data only if you give us information that identifies the data concerned: the Support ID shown in the App's Settings is that information for the data RevenueCat holds. Data held by Google (AdMob), RevenueCat, OneSignal or Expo is kept by them under their own policies, and we cannot delete it there directly; if your request concerns one of them, we will forward it, with the identifier you can supply, and you can also contact them yourself.

Controls you have at any time:

You can also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or your local data protection authority. Swiss law applies, with jurisdiction in Geneva, subject to the mandatory rights you have where you live.

16. Changes

If the App starts handling data differently, this page will be updated and its date changed.
